Heather Hemsley is a director, screenwriter, producer, and script supervisor based in Los Angeles. In high school, she had the opportunity to PA and script supervise many films under accomplished companies. Because of the inspiring creatives who poured into her life, she was drawn to the industry and struck out on her own to create her own short film. At age 18, Heather wrote, directed, and produced "Black and White", which won multiple awards. During this time, she started her own production studio: Expose the Dark Studios.

Heather is currently attending Biola University, where she is pursuing a B.A. in Writing for Film and Television. She is an intern staff writer at Creator Films and a development intern at Writers Spotlight. In between working on independent films as a script supervisor, she is actively writing and directing her own projects.

Is it just me, or has entertainment begun to slack over the past few years? Most filmmakers are more concerned with making money than they are about making an intelligent story.

That's where I come in. I believe you don't have to sacrifice storytelling under any circumstance.

With our world entrenched in media, people are looking for something to excite them, exhilarate them, make them dream. I aim to do just that, while at the same time offering a new way of looking at things. A bit of action, adventure, and fantasy make for an exciting film, but the soul of the viewer must gain something as well.

Whether it's hope, inspiration, peace, or courage, the projects I make will change the world without being preachy or dull.
