Our Mission
At Expose the Dark Studios, our vision is in the name: we seek to expose the darkness in our generation and bring the light of Christ back into the creative industry. We are inspired by Ephesians 5:11, which says, "Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, expose them." We believe that most films today have lost their storytelling skills in the process of accepting ungodly values.

Our mission? To create fun, truth-filled, exciting, quality entertainment that glorifies God - in whatever creative medium that comes in.

Heather Hemsley
Director / Screenwriter
Heather has been a fan of storytelling ever since she learned to write. Unhappy with the values and low quality stories most movies today contain, she knew she could do something about it. Stepping out in faith, she began her own studio, where she hopes to encourage others like her that the art of storytelling is not lost.

Heather is attending the Cinema and Media Arts school at Biola University, hoping to expand her knowledge of film while being taught biblical truth.
Hope Hemsley
Visual Development Artist
Hope grew up loving the connection between art and powerful storytelling. Discovering her passion for art at a young age, she has experimented with every style and medium imaginable. A lover of movies, her goal is to spread hope, light, and joy through the work she creates. Bringing back wholesome, God-honoring, beautifully animated 2D films back into the entertainment industry is a dream of hers.

Hope is also attending Biola University, pursuing a B.F.A. in illustration and animation.
